Horus is the falcon-human sky god of Egypt, but in Arcadia, Horus is an eagle with 6 glowing eyes and strange feathers that appear like curling hair.

This is a Threadless t-shirt design and you can VOTE here!!!

Exotic and beautiful, strange and mysterious, subtle and steeped in the arcane.

You should put a link up when it's ready for voting- I'd definitely wear that shirt! Nothing says cool like a six-eyed eagle.

To the untrained eye, it's just artistic. But to an artist, there's a lot more at play here. The overall fading gives the art an experienced look, almost like a logo that speaks for itself. The colors are nicely faded in most areas so as to easily transist between colors, yet they are wild enough to make the artwork pop out. The colors make the artwork "breathe". The blacks are hard and wild, giving an excellent contrast depth to the colors, in style and in depth. The uncolored beak stood out among the colors, and, because of this, gave your eagle, a strong, stoic pose.

The lines and droplets that seem to be coming from the beak seemed like a bit much, but they did help the beak stand out, by centering it in colors.

The eagle looks phantasmically surreal. You used something from history and created your own take on it, which turned out beautifully. The curling hair feathers was a nice addition to the eagle adding to the dream-like concept, as well as the six eyes, which expressed the eagle's constant vigilence. The three balls of light(I don't want to call them suns for some reason) are an exellent touch to the surrealism as well.
Overall, another great peice, man!

Well lol I made the Arcadian one up. When I drew this in a spur of a moment, I was thinking Horus, but then later after I finished I realized Horus is a falcon lol. So I changed it to Arcadian, which is essentially a "paradise land" fantasized by the French way back I think during the French Revolution.
